Austin Company Delivers Messages of Support for Troops Overseas
QuantumDigital to print 500,000 postcards for Xerox’s Let’s Say Thanks Program
AUSTIN, Texas and ROCHESTER, N.Y. June 14, 2007 — The Lone Star state stands alone as the top contributor to Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX) Let’s Say Thanks program, a free and easy way to send postcards of support to U.S. troops serving overseas. Now, local Austin printer QuantumDigital is helping out, by printing half a million postcards for this national program.
Children from across the country, ages 6-14, submitted postcard designs, and through www.LetsSayThanks.com, the public can choose from a selection of these designs and personalize a postcard with a message of support for the troops.
“When you combine the children’s colorful artwork with the heartfelt messages of thanks, the words really come to life,” said Steve Damman, president and CEO, QuantumDigital. “We are proud to do our part to support the men and women of the armed services.”
QuantumDigital will print 500,000 of the postcards on Xerox’s iGen3® Digital Production Press, and then military support organization Give2theTroops® will include the postcards in care packages sent to deployed U.S. forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
“QuantumDigital deserves praise for helping reach thousands of troops with messages from back home,” said Mike Brannigan, president of Xerox’s United States Solutions Group. “This effort goes a long way toward the trusted relationship we’ve built over the years. As a Xerox Premier Partner, QuantumDigital has demonstrated its commitment to building a business with digital print, and by partnering with us for Let’s Say Thanks, it’s demonstrating a commitment to the community.”
